The TR type motor fan speed controller is designed to maintain the regulated rotational speed of single-phase motors with capacitor start, short-circuit phase and others where the speed of the motor depends on its supply voltage. Such motors are used to drive fans in air conditioning systems.
The TR voltage regulator can also be used as a supply voltage regulator in single-phase 230V/50Hz systems, for example as a light dimmer.
