The set includes two pre-sized filters for DOMEKT: F7 air filter (ePM1 55-70% according to ISO 16890) and M5 air filter (ePM10 ≥50%). This arrangement is a standard recommended for Polish conditions: F7 on the air cleans the outside air from fine particulate matter PM1/PM2.5 (smog), plant pollen and mould spores, and M5 on the exhaust stops dust from the rooms, protecting heat exchangers and fans from dirt.
The dirty filter increases the resistance of air flow, making fans work at higher speeds – louder and with higher energy consumption. The actual ventilation stream and heat recovery efficiency are also falling. Fresh filters restore the design parameters of the control panel and extend the life of the exchanger. The recommended interval is 3-6 months – optimally after the dust season and after the heating-smog season; in areas with high pollination or in allergy homes every 3 months.
