Hybrid sockets WH Metalplast – gravity and mechanical ventilation in one device
The WH hybrid sockets are roof fans mounted at the end of ventilation ducts, which work without power as a classic gravity plant, and when the engine is turned on they increase the air stream to the required value in the building. The open-constructed rotor does not resist the natural string, so the channel is never "closed" – ventilation also works in the absence of electricity. This is the easiest way to improve ventilation in existing residential, office and industrial buildings without rebuilding the installation.
Four sizes – from apartment to hall
- WH-16 – Bipolar bed for 160 mm wire (square or rectangular base under typical brick channels), 20-205 m3/h, 7/10 W, 1.3 kg. Housing: kitchens, bathrooms, ventilation.
- WH-20 – Bipolar bed for 200 mm cable, 25-550 m3/h, 12/30 W, 2 kg. Single family houses, multi-family houses and small service facilities.
- WH-25 – hybrid fan ø250 mm, 200–650 m3/h, 40 W, 6.8 kg. Industrial facilities, warehouses, collective ventilation.
- WH-31,5 – hybrid fan ø315 mm, 500–1270 m3/h, 60 W, 11 kg. Hales, workshops, large aggregate verticals.

Why Hybrid Beds WH
- Power consumption from 7 W – EC engines (WH-16, WH-20) electronically Communicated; the cost of continuous work is several PLN per month.
- Silent Work – from 39 dB(A) at a distance of 1 m in gear, a housing made of vibration damping material.
- No maintenance – housing and rotor of plastic resistant to UV and corrosion, dark graphite color.
- Automatic – cooperation with TP-1 thermostat, HS-1 hygrostate, CO sensor, clock or gear switch; the fan is only included if the gravitational string is insufficient.
- Simple Mounting – square, rectangular (WH-16) base or round flange ø250/ø315 (WH-25, WH-31.5) on existing chimney or wire.
How to choose a hybrid base
Select a model for cross-section of the cable and required stream: single kitchen or bathroom (70–150 m3/h) – WH-16; aggregate area at home or service premises (up to 550 m3/h) – WH-20; ventilation of halls, warehouses and multi-family verticals (650–1270 m3/h) – WH-25 or WH-31.5. The WH caps are not intended for cables from open spaces, chemically aggressive air or at temperatures above 40°C.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the hybrid seed work without power?
Yeah. The rotor rotates freely under the influence of gravity and wind, so without power, the seed works like a simple chimney seed.
How is WH-16 different from WH-20?
Cable diameter (160 vs 200 mm) and performance: WH-16 to 205 m3/h at 10 W, WH-20 to 550 m3/h at 30 W. Both models are two-speed.
Can you control the cap automatically?
Yes – hygrostat or thermostat turns on the fan run after exceeding a given humidity or temperature, and with a good natural run the engine remains switched off.
