Installation belts for ventilation, air conditioning and insulation

Mounting tapes are a group of auxiliary materials that are responsible for three things in the ventilation system: connection tightness, insulation protection and mounting of components. In this category you will find aluminium, metalized PP, duct (grey and black), insulation rubber, perforated galvanized straps for suspensions, PES flange seals and flexible shock absorbers. Prices start at PLN 8.90, and we send all positions from a warehouse in Kielce.

Which tape to choose for a specific task?

Shortest: aluminium for hot and steamproof connections, rubber for cooling insulation, duct for temporary work, perforated for hanging, PES for collars.

Task Relevant product Why this
Combining wool mats with alu foil, flex bonding, canal insulation Reinforced aluminium strip 72/45 or bold 50 μm 75/50 Thermally resistant, forms a continuous paratight barrier
Rubber mats connector, cooling pipe insulation Rubber insulating strip 50×3 mm / 15 mn Flexible, closed cell structure – blocks condensation at the contact
Ad hoc connection, binding, marking, construction shields Duct tape grey or black 50 mm × 50 mb PE film-coated fabric, high tear strength, easy to rip by hand
Light adhesive film, cheaper than aluminum Metallised strip PP 50 or 75 mm Economic alternative where there is no thermal load
Suspension of ducts, pipes, route guidance Perforated duct tape 0,6×17 mm or 0,8×25 mm / 25 mb Zinc, finished holes, any length
Sealing of flanges of rectangular channels Seal PES 10×7 mm / 50 m Self-adhesive foam, compensates for sheet metal inequality
Fan vibration cut off from the channel KEV/HCV 1 mb shock absorber Technical fabric to suppress vibration and material noise

Aluminium or metallized PP – what are the differences?

This question comes back most often because both tapes look similar. Aluminium tape is a true aluminium foil (with us 45 μm and a thick 50 μm) – leads heat, endures higher temperatures, is tight for water vapour and is suitable for permanent insulation connections. Metallised PP strip is polypropylene with a metallising layer – costs 8,90–12 zł instead of 29–44 zł, but it will not replace aluminium with hot channels or paroisolation. Practical principle: if the connection is to last years and work at variable temperatures – select aluminum.

Can you seal the channel permanently with duct tape?

Nope. Duct tape is great for working assembly, securing protective films, beams and quick repairs, but acrylic adhesive hardens over time and loses adhesion to the zinc. For permanent leak of the installation shall be used PES flange seals, aluminium straps and sealing masses – only such solutions allow to maintain the declared channel leak class.

How to glue to hold

  • The substrate must be dry and defatted – zinc sheet dust and pressing oil are the main cause of desticking.
  • Mounting temperature min. +5 °C. Below the adhesive does not moisten the surface; the roll is worth keeping in heat.
  • Plant at least 30-50 mm When connecting aluminium foil belts.
  • Stick or roll clamp, not just with the hand – acrylic and rubber adhesives build strength only under pressure.
  • Rubber tape adhesive for the whole width of the connector, no stretch. The extended tape shrinks over time and reveals the gap in which the water has condensed.

You'll get the tapes straight to the materials they work with: Technical insulation, rubber mats, Lamella Mat wool, flexible ventilation ducts, grips and handles and mounting profiles and rails.

Why buy tapes in Wentec

We run a wholesale warehouse with over 2000 indexes, so you order tapes together with ducts, insulation and fittings – in one delivery. We complete orders for installers from all over Poland and carry out deliveries by our own transport in Kielce and Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Technical advice: write on info@wentec.pl or send SMS to 606 376 838and we will select the tape for the material and the operating conditions of the installation.

Most common questions about mounting tapes

What tape for recuperation and flex cables?

Reinforced aluminium – glues the foil of the wire, muff and insulation in one cycle, preserving the paricity of the connection.

What kind of rubber insulation tape?

Only self-adhesive rubber tape. The aluminium tape will not compensate for the thermal work of the mat and will peel off on the arch.

What copper pipe tape in air conditioning?

The rubber tape shall be used for the cauliflower connector. To wrap the entire route before mounting the trough, a reinforced or duct white tape will work.

Is the perforated tape going to hold the spiro channel?

Yeah, short sections and smaller diameters. The 0,8×25 mm version has a clearly higher load capacity than 0,6×17 mm. Use clamps and mounting rails for large channels.

How many meters of tape does it take on the 10 m canal?

Counting the sealing of connections every 1.25 m plus bets, accept about one 50 m roll of aluminium tape per 8–10 m channel with a diameter of 200 mm.
