Wall-mounted air intake/exhaust vent VLB 125 (Inox, Ø125)

Compact façade grille with only mesh (medium mesh)without slanted slats, so that water does not linger on the element and does not condense on the façade. Made of chrome-nickel steel (inox), with a polished, unpainted surface. The long mounting flange makes it easy to install tightly in the wall. It can work as an air intake or exhaust vent .

Key benefits

  • No lamellae = no drips on the plaster and less risk of condensation.

  • Inox (chromium-nickel) – high corrosion resistance, no painting for refinishing.

  • Long flange – fast, stable installation and better tightness of the partition.

  • Universal use: supply (intake) and exhaust (exhaust) in one model.

  • Aesthetics: the polished surface looks good on a modern and classic façade.

Applications

  • Gravitational and mechanical ventilation of residential and commercial buildings.

  • Ø125 mm duct endings on the façade (supply/exhaust, cooker hoods*, bathrooms, technical rooms).
*Remember to have a separate grease/filter protection element – the grille does not act as a filter.

Technical features

  • Nominal diameter: Ø125 mm

  • Material: Chromium-nickel steel (inox)

  • Finish: polished surface, unpainted

  • Insert: medium-mesh mesh (protection against insects and small debris)

  • Design: no slanted slats (less water and damp patches on the façade)

  • Mounting: long stainless steel flange – wall mounting, putty/tape/compound sealing according to art

  • Purpose: wall intake/exhaust

Note: The actual values of flow and noise attenuation depend on the entire installation (duct length, bends, fan).

How to choose and install (practical tips)

  1. Match the diameter to the duct – here Ø125 mm.

  2. Take care of the slope to the outside and tight treatment of the passage through the wall.

  3. Seal the connection to the duct (e.g. tape/alubutyl, elastic compound).

  4. In areas with high rainfall exposure, consider a canopy/façade shelf above the element.

FAQ

Doesn't the lack of sipes impair protection against rain?
No – the front cover and mesh protect the inlet, and the absence of slats reduces water retention and dripping on the façade.

Is VLB 125 stainless steel?
Yes, it's chromium-nickel (inox) steel – resistant to corrosion in typical outdoor conditions.

Does it work as an air intake and exhaust vent?
Yes. The same element can be used on the supply or exhaust side.

Does the element need to be painted?
No. It has a polished, unpainted surface that is easy to maintain.

Safety Information

General safety rules for fittings, ducts, grilles and mounting accessories for ventilation

Elements of ventilation systems, such as fittings, ducts, ventilation grilles and mounting accessories, have been designed to ensure proper air circulation in buildings.
Correct installation and operation are crucial for the safety of users and the performance of the entire system.

Principles of safe use and installation

Installation by qualified persons only
All installation works should be carried out by people with experience in the installation of ventilation systems and knowledge of applicable standards.

Safe mounting location

Assemble components according to the design of the ventilation system.

Avoid placing wires and grilles near heat sources, open flames, or devices that emit heat.

Avoiding mechanical damage

Do not bend, deform, or damage the ducts and fittings during assembly.

In the event of visible mechanical damage, the element should not be used.

Protection against moisture and corrosion

Use the elements for their intended purpose – in rooms exposed to moisture, use fittings and ducts made of corrosion-resistant materials.

Store mounting accessories in dry and clean conditions.

Proper fixation and stabilization

All system components must be installed stably and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Improper fastening can lead to loose ductwork, reduced ventilation performance or structural damage.

Safety at work at height
When installing grilles or cables under the ceiling, appropriate safety safeguards such as stable ladders, scaffolding and personal protective equipment must be used.

Potential risks

Falling of elements – resulting from improper fastening of wires, fittings or grilles.

Mechanical damage – caused by improper transport or assembly.

Risk of fire – the use of unsuitable materials in high-temperature areas can lead to damage and fire hazards.

Improper air quality – installation errors can limit proper air circulation and negatively affect the comfort of users.

Maintenance and inspections

Regularly check the condition of wires, fittings, grilles and mounting accessories.

Clean the vents of dust and debris to maintain system performance.

If damage is found, replace the components with new ones in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

Summary

Proper installation and operation of fittings, ducts, grilles and ventilation accessories guarantee the safety of users, system efficiency and long service life of the installation.
Compliance with the above rules minimizes the risk of failure and ensures comfortable and safe air exchange in rooms.
