The PAROC Hvac Lamella Mat AluCoat lamella mat is a non-flammable insulation made of stone wool designed for thermal insulation and protection of air conditioning ducts and installation equipment. The one-sided cladding made of reinforced aluminium foil serves as a parochial barrier and at the same time protects the wool from mechanical damage during assembly and operation.

Mount without heels — VERSION WITH EMPLOYMENT

The Fix variant is equipped with a pre-filled layer of foil-protected adhesive. Mounting involves removing the film and pressing the mat to the cleaned, dry and defatted surface of the canal. Resignation of welded pins reduces the duration of insulation work and eliminates the need for a welding machine on construction.

Mounting conditions — significant limitation

• Optimal mounting temperature: +5°C to +35°C
• Below +5°C mounting is impossible — adhesive loses plasticity and adhesion drops drastically
• The product can be stored at temperatures up to −20°C without loss of adhesive properties, but before installation requires acclimatisation for a minimum of 2 days at temperatures above +100°C
• The surface of the canal must be dry, clean and defatted

In installations with higher requirements or when mounted on ceiling surfaces, the manufacturer recommends additional mechanical protection.

A Rectangular Fibre System — Why It Matters

The lamellar structure means that wool fibers are arranged perpendicular to the lining surface. Thanks to this, the mat retains its design thickness also on the edges, corners and wrapping of round wires — where ordinary rolled mats are crushed and form thermal bridges. Effect: constant value of thermal resistance throughout the channel surface and predictable energy balance of the installation.

Protection against condensation

Armoured AluCoat foil limits the penetration of water vapour into the insulation layer. In conjunction with the PAROC Hvac AluCoat Tape or Alu Tape tapes, with a cladding identical to the mat itself, you get a continuous, tight paraseal barrier. This is a necessary condition for cooling and air conditioning channels, where spraying moisture leads to corrosion of the sheet, dampening the insulation and loss of its properties.

The mat is attached to the surface of the canal using welded or glued pins with washers, and the joints and plants seal with aluminium tape. The material is easily cut with an insulating knife and adapted to the shape of the substrate, which reduces waste.

In case of outdoor installation, the AluCoat lining requires an additional protective coat to protect against atmospheric conditions.

Packaging and storage

The sealed factory packaging allows storage of pallets in the open air. The material should be protected from mechanical damage to the lining.
